An industrialist and business strategist, Hussain AlNowais is the founding member and Chairman of Abu Dhabi based ALNOWAIS Investments. Currently, Mr. AlNowais is spearheading ALNOWAIS Investments’ strategy of global expansion and strategic project development in energy, industry, infrastructure, hospitality and real-estate.Mr. AlNowais has over 30 years of combined experience in various countries and across numerous sectors including: banking, financial services, investments, heavy industries, petrochemicals, industrial development, infrastructure development, Public-Private Partnership, project finance, hospitality and real estate. He accumulated a solid track record of acquiring unprofitable companies turning them into profitable business, sold many businesses, and has realized lucrative IPO’s. Holding senior positions in the private sector, Mr. AlNowais has been actively involved in building organizations, developing effective structures, recruiting winning management teams, creating viable strategies, policies and regulations on both local, regional and international levels.
Mr. AlNowais is currently Chairman of AlNowais Investments، an investment company that owns and controls a diverse array of subsidiary companies, Chairman of AMEA Power، an energy company that develops, owns, and operates thermal and renewable power projects in Africa, the Middle East and Asia, Vice Chairman of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB)، a leading UAE banking group that provides over 1 million customers with a full suite of products and services, spanning Consumer Banking, Wholesale Banking, Treasury & Investments and Property Management., and a Board Member of Rotana Hotels & Real Estate Investment the premier regional investor in hospitality and hotel management.
Mr. AlNowais was previously Chairman of Waha Capital , a publicly listed company with diversified investments.
Hussain Al Nowais is a UAE national who was born in Abu Dhabi. He graduated with a B.S. in Business Finance from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon in USA, and has attended various Executive Management programs at INSEAD (France) and London Business School (UK).
